the UCLA student groups panicked more than the vivisectors. But Dr. Steve Best does not yield or make concessions for anyone, especially when we’re discussing the holocaust and animal liberation. He told them to find a “safe” speaker to placate the timid. Steve will not be at UCLA on April 25
On Monday, April 25, 2011, Dr. Steven Best will roll into in Los Angeles by a massive motorcycle brigade accompanied by a squadron of 300 straight-edge total liberationist Hells Angels pissed off at animal abuse and declaring war against vivisection. They will roar onto the UCLA campus where Dr. Best will address demonstrators (with 3,000 confirmed so far) assembling to protest the infamous sadistic experiments to which the likes of Jentsch, Ringach, and their psychopathic colleagues subject animals everyday in the medieval dungeons of the “modern” university.
While Best has been banned from the U.K. for the power of his thoughts, he is free to speak at UCLA where he will denounce the fraud of vivisection and deliver personal greetings from NIO. Best and comrades look forward to pounding the final nails into the coffin of pseudo-scientific research at UCLA and advancing alternative and holistic models that promote both scientific and moral progress as inseparable goals.
World Week for Laboratory Animals is a global effort to bring awareness to the plight of animals in labs and promote alternatives to vivisection. Our goal is to educate the public about unnecessary animal research both in the University of California system and elsewhere, the gross waste of funds paid in support of dubious research, and to open dialogue between legitimate researchers and animal welfare groups in an effort to promote the humane treatment of all animals, reduce the number of animals used, and to eliminate and / or replace vivisection to the greatest extent possible.
The choice is not between rats and babies. The choice is between real science and counterfeit science.
Dr. Steven Best is NIO’s Senior Editor of Total Liberation. Associate professor of philosophy at UTEP, award-winning writer, noted speaker, public intellectual, and seasoned activist, Dr. Best engages the issues of the day such as animal rights, ecological crisis, biotechnology, liberation politics, terrorism, mass media, globalization, and capitalist domination. Best has published 10 books, over 150 articles and reviews, spoken in over a dozen countries, interviewed with media throughout the world, appeared in numerous documentaries, and was voted by VegNews as one of the nations “25 Most Fascinating Vegetarians.” He has come under fire for his uncompromising advocacy of “total liberation” (humans, animals, and the earth) and has been banned from the UK for the power of his thoughts. From the US to Norway, from Sweden to France, from Germany to Russia to South Africa, Best shows what philosophy means in a world in crisis. (See Dr. Best’s Complete Biography)
